Uber Passenger Killed In Suspected DUI Crash

A 29-year-old woman was killed in Costa Mesa on July 7 after a collision allegedly caused by a drunk driver. The woman was one of two passengers in the Uber vehicle. The Uber driver and the other passenger were treated for injuries related to the crash.

Porfirio Sandoval, a 19-year-old man struck the Uber vehicle as it exited the Huddle Bar according to Costa Mesa Police Department. Sandoval was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI after being released from Hoag Hospital. He is currently being held on $100,000 bail.
