POSTED BY THOMAS V. WALLIN || 14-JUN-2011

A Sacramento correctional officer has been arrested for driving under the influence after he hit multiple parked cars at a local supermarket parking lot.

According to News 10, David Perrault, 43, was driving a blue Mustang out of a parking lot when witnesses said he hit several cars before his own car wouldn’t continue driving. A grocery store worker witnessed Perrault exit his vehicle holding a bottle of peppermint schnapps in his hand, wrapped in a t-shit; Perrault tried to leave the scene of the accident but the grocery store worker and another man detained him. Once officers arrived, Perrault was arrested for driving under the influence and booked at a local jail but was later set free on bail.
