According to the Orange County Register, Carter, 29 years old, was driving over 100 mph when he hit a curb and went airborne before he hit a light pole and landed on the roof. Local fire fighters had to cut through the wreck to remove Carter and his 32 year old passenger Brandon Whitaker. Both men were taken to the local hospital, where Carter is in a coma and Whitaker is listed in stable condition.
