POSTED BY THOMAS V. WALLIN || 26-JUL-2011

A Davis man has been arrested for driving under the influence after he caused a DUI-related accident around 2:45pm Sunday afternoon.

According to the Daily Democrat, Anthony Ene, a previous DUI offender, was driving a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant at speeds above 85mph when he hit a 2003 Ford Escape that was being driven by 44-year-old Heidi Sciutto of Woodland. Sciutto’s vehicle rolled multiple times before coming to a stop on its wheels while Ene’s vehicle swerved through the center median and across the southbound lanes before hitting a dirt ditch. Ene then proceeded to climb out of his car and ran through a Christian School and hid at a nearby home where he was later found and arrested for driving under the influence. Sciutto was taken to the local hospital with moderate injuries including cuts to her elbow, hands and pain in the neck and back.
