22 YEAR OLD WOMAN HITS AND KILLS CYCLIST, ARRESTED FOR DUI

A 22-year-old woman from Newport Coast has been arrested and booked on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter as well as driving under the influence after she hit a cyclist.

A middle-aged man was enjoying a bike ride along San Joaquin Road in Corona Del Mar when the young woman hit him at around 6pm Monday night.The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Corona Del Mar Today states that although the crash remains under investigation, the woman appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and has been booked with bail set at $100,000.
